About

Orginally from Spain, I have been living in Scotland for 17 years. I worked in Fair Trade retail for some years before retraining as a jeweller and silversmith in 2006. Shortly after my first child was born and since then I have been juggling being a mother of three and being a jeweller.
I work from my studio at home mainly in silver but sometimes I incorporate semi-precious stones to my work to add a little colour. I'm particularly interested in textures, patterns and surface decoration and I try to balance this love of pattern with simple shapes. I take inspiration mostly from nature, leaves in particular, but also from architectural details such as Moorish tiles, Japanese designs, etc.
I hand fabricate every piece using traditional silversmithing methods as well as more contemporary techniques such as photo etching.
I appreciate beauty in the small and simple things and I try to make my jewellery with this in mind.
